Started looking closer at Hagstrom guitars. As far as I can tell, the only difference between the Viking and the Viking Deluxe is the inlays on the neck, correct?
The HJ-500 is very nice too. It might feedback a bit more for my screaming solos though. :D
What is the difference between the Swede and SuperSwede?
I just talked to my local store, and they will get in a black Viking soon. It might follow me home one day. :pancake:

My wife hates when that happens. She just doesn't understand that for some reason guitars are attracted to me.
I like the way you are thinking.

You are the Swede & SuperSwede is the SuperSwede. The differences are manifold & yet you both frequent the same small watering hole.

The 500s have been rather inconsistent. Skip that model and keep looking at the Vikings...or Swedes.

Maybe I should call myself FastSwede or QuickSwede since I'm a runner, huh?

The inlays and that the body is laminated flamed maple rather than laminated maple on the deluxe. Otherwise, they are the same. See comparative specs here: http://www.hagstromguitars.com/viking.html
Happy shopping and have fun!:AOK:

I thought for sure I would come home to an announcement of purchase of a semi HB. That money has to be burning a whole in your pocket.:poke:

I suppose that it has to be wholes as quarters don't burn, they just melt.

Soon, laddies, soon! I am biding my time... a new guitar is on its way to my local store - it should be there anytime now.
