Hello to all. My name is Joe. I have been playing guitar since I was 6 (44 as of now). I am returning to strumming after a 12 year hiatus (guitars REALLY scared our dog, don't ask me why). My guitars can be found in my signature.

I look forward to learning and sharing with you folks.

One last thing... I play for the sheer enjoyment of it. Nothing more.

Welcome aboard Auriemma. Where in PA are you? I'm from Philly. Hmmmmmm......just looking at your moniker, methinks that might be your last name and it gets me to wondering if you are related to Geno Auriemma, a Philly boy and the outstanding coach of the U Conn womens B-ball team???

Everybody knows my cousin Geno. :master: He knows basketball far better than I will know how to play guitar. And before anyone asks... No, I can't get tickets or autographs. :thwap:

I am in the Norristown area, about 25 miles NW of you

And thanks to all for the warm welcome.

Mark,
My small collection has been growing since I was a kid. My first guitar is a Kingston 3/4 dreadnought (not was... I still have it). Its not playable anymore. The second was a Toyota E-335 knock off. It lasted 7 years before the electronics quit during a school Christmas concert. The next day, my dad ran out and traded it in on my Bradley LPC in 1977. I bought a used Hoyster 12-string acoustic and many years later gave it to my brother-in-law when his guitar was destroyed while moving. He still has it. I bought my Mustang Comp. from a friend in the early 80's. Its in still in great shape and plays like a wet dream. In 1991, my wife said she would by me ANY guitar I wanted. I always wanted a Gibson Les Paul. But that day, the Strat jut felt better. Four years later she bought me the Celebrity.

Then we got a dog. A beagle to be more precise... and the sound of the guitars scared the living hell out of him. So I put them away for 12 years. He passed away in July 08. I started playing again in August.

Since then I added the 1751 Balladeer, a $163 ebay find. It needed some TLC and is now near perfect. I picked up the Elite-T just before Christmas.

Here are some pics of my collection:

Now you know my guitar life story.
And yes... GAS and I are well acquainted, much to my wife's dismay.

Addendum: I forgot that somewhere in there I had a Kay bass (like a Gibson SG), and a Sunn Sorado bass amp and cab. Yeah... I used to play bass too.

Wow! I wish the sound of guitars would scare the hell out of my neighbors beagle. That dog never quiets down. However, the up side is, my neighbors can never complain about the noise coming out of my studio. :D

I like the orange one!

Welcome Joe!

Mmm, those old Sunns are BOSS. I use an old 200S bass head for both bass and guitar.
