Minor Blues Jazz Jam

I did a quickie tonight before bed, quickie recording, that is. (:D)

where both the backing track on my two quickie takes are.

It was the first two takes and I'm really rusty at jazz, but gotta start somewhere, right?

Grab the backer and try yourself. The track is in C Minor. The form is:

Cm7 | Cm7 | Cm7 | C7
Fm7 | Fm7 | Cm7 | Cm7
Ab7 | G7 | Cm | G7

Hello friends,

I have tried to lay some "out of the box" jazzy stuff on the fly to Rob's BT, which is excellent by the way :master: .

My attempt was listening to the BT twice before playing the first note, then getting in the groove, then playing what was in my head and trying to combine some licks through theoretical knowledge, but keeping a natural feel and natural crazy melody hearing ;)

Thanks, this stuff is hard. So, I made a new solo tonight. I played through the whole enchilada with all clams included. :D I think it's got a bit better feel than the previous two, so I took them off.

Robert, your new take sounds much more smoother than the first takes. Great playing and feel for the Jazz Robert. You obviously have listened a lot to the great players.

Would be great having more folks posting their approaches.

Great playing Robert, I like your tone and the phrasing slightly "Robben Fordien" with good harmonies ideas :bravo: . The overall volume is relatively low compared to Jimi's take I had to push the poor speakers of my PC :rotflmao:

Did you use a real amp or a simulation ? The tone is very warm :AOK:

Thanks guys, I used the Toneport and the Vox AC30 Top Boost in GearBox. I really like this amp model.

Ouch, I had a mistake in there! I had written Gb7 but it is of course Ab7... sorry!
