I heard this on the radio two days ago and then promptly forgot. Tuesday marked the 50th anniversary of the "day the music died" (http://www.premierguitar.com/Magazine/Issue/Daily/News/Holly_Valens_Richardson_Remembered_50_Winters_Late r.aspx) when a plane carrying Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper, and Richie Valens crashed, killing all aboard. An anniversary concert was held at the venue in Clear Lake, IA, where they played their last concert. Kind of odd to think that, had he lived, Buddy Holly would be 72.
The Monday night concert was taped and will air on PBS in the States sometime this year.
