That's great and very cute. That's tough to say when I was also going to comment she has Shiner's eyes and habit of not shaving.

Take good care of the dog, as you have with others.

o, si, senor squirrel... mr. hardhat wearing, wire running scheming... going for flying landing leaps at the main birdfeeder senor squirrel.

senor is in for a rude awakening. [shiner just took her off my lap... she's tanked, i see me being up all night long (groan) ]

i'm specifically training her to chase off senor. :rotflmao:

CB, see is a beauty. Beagles make great family dogs, glad to see the new member, makes me jealous though. I still miss having a dog.

Congrats on the new pooch, she's adorable. :bravo: Make sure she doesn't pee on Firefly. :D

BC already opined that when The Breeze gets REALLY up there in years, that we ought to get a lil pup for him to show the ropes to........AND......so my wife will have a new one to fuss over when TB passes on.

Rocket... that little gem won't hit here until later this week.

but we're looking forward to her.

maggie is a darned smart one. thank you for all of your comments. Pappy... she already pointed twice today. instincts all there. beware, sr squirrel...

already potty trained, figured out the doggie door, and cries until you put her in your lap.

she crawled all over the keyboard and the desk a minute ago, until i put her in my lap, then back out.

i am so going to be up until four am this morning...

i haven't dealt with a puppy for nearly 17 years. i'd forgotten about the getting up every couple of hours with her to take her out, every 20 mins at home after work...

the chewing. the puppy teeth. everything goes in the mouth.

our guitars are safely locked away. but the guitar stands, the music stands... look away for five seconds and she's into something.

she doesn't always want her chew toys or her ball, she wants the shoes. the purse. the undergarments.

but darned, she makes me laugh.

tonight... i'm sick as a dog [sorry] running a fever...

she's comfortable enough in the house that we let her explore a bit.

she comes running into the bedroom where shiner and i are with a trophy.

the around-the-john mat from by-proxy's bathroom.

she growls. she tosses and turns that thing. she attacks it.

and we just can't help but regale with laughter.

what a joyous mess she is.

She sounds (and looks) like a real cutie. Also sounds like she already become part of the family. I hope she lives a long and comfortable life. Good luck to you.

Puppies are adorable which is important because otherwise we'd never tolerate them being puppies. Our first dog was a blue heeler mix. Training a puppy like that is like trying to train a wolverine. It did happen, though, and she was a very obedient (albeit very energetic) dog.

Mine's not as cute as yours Kimmie but here she is anyway. Named by three year old Makayla...meet Wiggles.

My son informed me today that he put a deposit on one of these.

that shortly becomes one of these

[...] after looking at that adorable [pony?] potty training a beagle just became a delightful concept. :rotflmao:

Strummy, what kind of dog is that?

It's an Airedale Terrier. My son has been wanting to get a dog and he was drawn towards a big dog. They are a very intelligent dog and easy to train. The drawback is, they tend to be so intelligent that they grow bored of training and want to move on to something new (read: stubborn and independent). Since my son works with dogs as his job, I think he should do alright with the training process.

Haha, I was thinking of saying I needed to steal that name for my mandolin!

Congrats on the new Shiner family member!
