Planet Wave tuning pick

I bought some stuff from MF and the 10 pack string set has a free tuning pick included.

It's that gizmo with 2 leds that shine on the string while you're tuning it. The lights dance on the string and when it is in tune it stop dancing.

Darn thing worked good. I tested the tuning with my Sabine STX-1100 tuner (which I just bought too) and it's right on the money.

The only downside is that it's made for standard tuning only.

I kept getting cross-eyed from trying to tell when the string was in tune....

Sorry to hear that.

Way it works it uses two leds so you see two lines on your string. Pluck the string and when it's out of tune it acts like a sine wave, you see two lines like a seesaw rocking back and forth. As you get closer to the pitch they slow down and you're in tune when they stop moving.

Works pretty good. :)
