One thing I am trying convey here is you can take a scale, and use it to create a musical phrase. It sounds so much better than just playing the scale itself up and down. Remember you should use this approach with any scale. Use the notes from the scale, but create a phrase or musical idea from it. It will sound so much better.

Thanks, glad you like it. Pretty simple but useful, I'm hoping.

Thank you Robert that will be a nice one to learn.:AOK: I don't always find a comfortable place to end when going down the scale and this will give me another place to go and will probably open up some other phrases as well. Could I hit the high E string where you start at as an ending note too? It would give it a SRV flavor at the end. The end is sweet as you show it though. Thanks again.

Oh, yeah, end it on the high E string on the 5th fret if you wish, instead of the D string on the 5th fret. It would sound more SRV-ish.

Nice. I like that C to C# bend over the A7 chord....
