so joe has been on tour with a band over here in the states and they played a show in orlando. I wasn't able to make the show but did meet up with joe and the band for dinner while he was in town.

we had a great visit....joe is a really nice guy (so nice that i tried really hard not to kid him about his florida sunburn!)

after dinner we went out to their rv where i was introduced to "bubba"....joe's custom guitar that he has posted here on the fret. I am the first fretter to see and play bubba in person!

glad we could meet up joe and next time maybe we can hang out longer!

Warren,

That is really a great meeting you guys had. You and Joe look related, you should have gotten him some green plaid shorts to clash with his pink skin. Looks as if the merchandising is in good hands.

that was a battery powered amplifier we plugged into bubba....

it is neat....joe is the 4th fretter i have met....all the meetups have been a lot of fun! :AOK: hope to meet more in the future!

Warren, I would say something about Joe looking like your son and the Merch Girl looking more like HIS girlfriend. But, even us old farts think we can still hang with the young studs when it comes to a babe. Toby Keith said it best, "I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was..."

None of which apply to my sprightly 38-edness of course :)

Yeah,

it was definitely a good little meeting - and an excellent meal, too! I was pretty red that day, and Alice kept tormenting me by slapping my arms if I didn't give her a cigarette or take a shower. . . hmph. . .

Now they keep trying to get me to wear a turban.

That was actually a mini-golf place with real alligators out the front. . .and water that shocked me everytime I touched it. . .
