We are having a small recording-fest on my forum for the guys who have never tried home recording or who have felt a little intimidated putting their first attempts at recording their playing or songwriting online.

If you guys are interested you're more than welcome to give it a whack, too...

We are having a simultaneous "fest" for the more experienced guys as well:

The reveal is April 1st, and you can hit me up if you have any questions....

Thanks for the heads up. I've got a few things which need vox (lyrics have never been my forte). This might be a good incentive to actually finish them off. So, the process is: post the songs on e.g Soundclick, and then PM you the links?

Cool! I should have posted this a few weeks ago but I just though some of you guys might be interested too!

You can post the songs on soundclick or email them to me and I can host them on our server. PM me the links but please register at the forum if you want to participate...its the same as registering here was....:AOK:

That sure sound like fun. :)

I'm not a pro but I video recorded myself playing in my room when I got a new camcorder (those little suckers).

So far I got two with different guitars (don't remember what amps) with mistakes and all. Also a drum from my pedal beating away in the background which probably will drive you crazy and louder than the guitar.

Those were my first shots at recording. Hopefully I'll get better at it. Also it was live recordings so no editing at all.

Cool! feel free to post a clip over at my place if you'd like a little feedback from the guys! http://markweinguitarlessons.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2625

Are you kidding me?

The files are pretty big and they're in MOV format. 67 and 140 megs.

Anyway, I adapted a style in my playing where it's within my capabilities and the recordings are pretty crude. I think I played alright and you may like the songs. I played Got This Thing by Grand Funk and Space Truckin by Deep Purple.

Don't say I didn't warn you. :rotflmao:
