Hi folks - I got a new strat - bought it used, 2 weeks ago.
It's a Fret King Corona SP 60 made by Trev Wilkinson of Fret King Guitars in England. Nice vintage like strat with a P90 bridge-pickup designed closely after a '65 Strat with some modern features like staggered Gotoh locking tuners and a wilkinson trem.

Oh, the amp isn't mine - I play the Fender Prosonic.
By the way, markb, just flew home from NZ 3 weeks ago - have been there for 6 months. Beautiful. Brought a Crowther hot cake with me;)

Cheers mate

I like it. What kind of wood is the body made of?

I'm not shure about the wood - either alder or swamp ash as you can see on the specs-site (http://www.fret-king.com/coronasp_spec.html).

Cool, congrats.

How does the P-90 balance with the Strat-style singles?

The P90 fits quite good - it is about the same output as the single coils but a sweeter midrange and no mean treble.
Maybe a bit "boring" for cleansounds compared to the sc which sound very stratty. But perfect for overdriven sounds.

I really like that color, it reminds me of the old 59 Ford color (or some year around that time).

Nice, very nice.
