Ah, some of the sweetest words in the English language.

But what could it be?

Here's a hint:

Either it's a Daisy Rock guitar or you're getting a 12 stringer. :)

These two things are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

Well, there hopefully will be at least 12 strings. And they will be new to me anyhow.

:D

I hope that isn't one of the ones that got recalled.

Same joke, different day.... :whatever: ;)

BTW, Guitar Player sure liked it when they reviewed it in March '05:

Still...that's a whole extra set of strings so you're going to need another hand, and unless you've been hanging out near the space center you're going to have a tough time playing it.:D

My only issue with a 12 string is that it's, what, almost twice the number of strings to tune? That and Floyd Rose hasn't come out with a 12 string bridge yet. Can you imagine how much better some of those classic Byrds songs would have sounded with a few dive-bombs thrown in!

Yeah, I'd seen that awhile back. The seller is a guy on Harmony-Central I've "known" for a long time, and had even jokingly said "hey, if you ever wanna sell..." to, in the past. Also, the seller has modded the guitar, having yanked the hot mini's that come stock and putting in a couple Brownsville alnico toasters. As luck would have it, by coincidence I own a Brownsville with the same toasters on it, so I know they're cool pickups and that the seller hasn't ruined the guitar by attempting to upgrade it

Btw, here's the guitar. Pre-pickup swap:

You funny too, Rev.

I went looking for some better pics than the seller's on the web, the white is a pearl white metallic, here's some pics I dug up that show the color a little better, though the metallic part isn't readily apparent. Btw the "binding" on the body is just paint:

Brian,
That should be a great sounding axe. I like the clean looks of it too.

Thanks Nathan! The (replacement) singlecoil toaster pickups are little known, but I've gigged my Brownsville, with (3 of) them, and they're sweet. It's killing me, but I haven't had the chance to plug it in, though it's been 9 or 10 hours since delivery. Work was just too busy, and my son has an overnight houseguest. :(

I should be able to upload some original photos of my guitar taken by me, in a moment or so though.

Very cool. Daisy needs a daisy sticker to fit in better with her sister.

I'm interested to know how those toasters sound.

They're sorta their own thing, big honkin' singles with alnico magnets. Much warmer than Strat/Tele pups, low output, without the big mids hump that P-90's have. Kinda like an old PAF humbucker but with more note clarity. They're a good match with the natural brightness of a 12 (with all those extra high strings), although they work great with my 6-string Choirboy (also a thinlne semi) as well.
