The photo and story was on the front page of the local paper. Moose were also in the Police Blotter for being rowdy at 4 AM in the same neighborhood last week :rotflmao: I didn't take the picture. :thwap:

This moose was frolicking around the fire and police station last Thursday, playing in the river and generally running around the neighborhood on Wall Street.

We see 'em from time to time around here too. Along with Mt. Lions, wolves and lots of foxes. At least one, if not more, wolf packs are starting in the last year to come around these populated parts. One was even seen trying to play with someone's dogs in their yard.

Here is a vid of the wolf:

Last year we had a rash of Black Bears - the closest one got to our house was about 100 yards at one of our neighbors - she almost ran into it when she left her house - it was on her porch looking for food - she and her dog just stared at it - the bear saw them and ran off. :AOK: The bear was reported a couple of more times - always in the mornings - almost got hit on the highway - we all thought that it was an abandoned cub and it didn't know any better. It was last reported several miles away up some of the other dirt roads in the area - it has stopped going up to folks houses at least.

Haven't seen or heard of any wolves or mt. lions - we have seen foxes and coyotes - you can hear the coyotes sometimes at night.

Lots of moose being reported this year around the state.

In the winter, the wild turkeys went after folks bird feeders :dude: This picture was on the front page of the paper back in January.

The only wildlife we have here are drunken hooligans - and they can appear at any time of the day and at any time of the year - but especially during football (soccer) season, and most especially on the day of a game. . .
