His stuff always reminds me of the incidental music on the Beverly Hillbillies-- "Ellie Mae Descending Stairs."

I love the music on that show for some reason. Some good clean tones! The kids were watching it when they woke up for school last year a little bit so I was re-exposed to it. I liked seeing that Les Paul special on tv and I am glad you can still watch it online. :AOK:

There was a lot of good music on that admittedly silly show. Flatt and Scruggs did the theme song and appeared as themselves from time to time in the episodes. Just the other day I saw a part of an episode where Roy Clarke was on (not playing himself, but playing a hillbilly guitarist). I wouldn't be surprised if Clarke or some of the better-known LA session guys of that era did the incidental music for the show.
