There's a couple of Johnny Winter instructional DVD's out via ELDERLY MUSIC:
http://elderly.com/videos/items/49-DVD501307.htm 4 hours long/std guitar
http://elderly.com/videos/items/49-DVD501042.htm 2 hours long/slide
Might be pretty cool for those interested in his guitar/slide playing.

I took these a few days ago.
Johnny is (was) A BADASS player. He's not as fast as he used to be but there's no mistaking it when you hear him.
One of the best ever.

I saw him in the 70s. He sold out Toronto's Maple leaf Gardens. The band Slade opened for him. It was a killer show and he was one of my favourites back then. Then in the late 80s and early nineties you could catch him at a local club for the price of a beer. Still one of the first Blues players to hit the mainstream.
