Hello fellow guitar dudes.

Just new to the forum and relatively new to guitar playing, too.
Bought my first guitar only 7 months ago - a Black Yamaha Pacifica 112V. Been taking lessons every week since then and my playing is improving well.
Thought I'd better mention I'm 38 and the guitar is my first dip into music.
I now own 2 guitars, the 2nd being an electro-acoustic APX-700 (oh dear, another Yam!) in oriental red sunburst.

My main guitar is the electric, but I like the sound of the acoustic too, which I use mainly for strengthening the fingers and improving my accuracy - the acoustic is the one I'll take away when working away from home.

See y'all in the main forums

Are those earth years?
Good God no.

What d'ya think I am? An infant?

I could hardly levitate when I was that age. I didn't learn to sing until I was
108 earth years, its hard to do without revealing your singing organ.

And a welcome from yet another Mark.

I've been playing for a little over 3 years and will be 55 in Earth years on Monday. Based on Tot's numbering system, that might make me an infant.

Welcome aboard the best place I have found to discuss guitar and that funny growth right next to my...

Ive seen a new VJ combo for £79 in a nearby shop. Tempting but as I live in an apartment not practical - had to sell a Peavey nano valve for that very reason-but I'd be interested in looking at your mystery dealer!

Welcome, I was GAS-sing for a Yamaha Pacifica 812V, a sweet red with coil tap. Luckily for me, the store closed down. It was waaaay overpriced anyways. Welcome again !!!
