About the same as the Squier Affinity Teles. At least the one I played was.

would the pickups in this be any better than thw squier affinity ones? and if this is as good as an affinity i think i might buy it, seen as how its £80 and the affinities are like £130.

Personally I'd say no. They sounded fairly lifeless, and more like a strat than a tele.
The stock affinity pickups aren't that bad. I've got a Tele built from an Affinity body and electronics and a new neck, with a decent setup it sounds equal to a MIM Tele.

This is an incorrect assumption.
In the biggest of ways.

True. Some are good and some are not so good.

point taken...
anyway, i was playing my guitar teachers drum kit last night, and i decided i wish to re-enter myself into the guild of drummers. So plans for buying the tele is on hold for a few months.
