Hey everyone
My names Danny. I'm 13 and I just started playing guitar about 6 months ago and bass 10 months ago. I really like playing Blink 182, Sum 41, Green Day, and stuff like that. My big brother used to play guitar a lot and and he gave me his Fender ReIssue '57 Vintage Blues Amp. Currently, I have an Epiphone DR100, a Squier '51, and the Fender Amp. I just ordered a Vox DA5. I also have an OLP Bass (I dont know what model) that I also got from my brother. Some of my hobbies are photography, guitar and bass playing, and skateboarding.

So yeah, just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. This place looks like a great place to learn new things

Hey everyone thanks for the warm welcome
I usually just skate street and some times park. I suck terribly at vert haha. Don't skate as much as before but I can still bust out some varials, 360s, 360 shoves, and some grinds. Well I might as well ask some of my questions here rather than start a new thread.

Any other Blink 182 fans here?
What are some strumming patterns?
Are there any like, drills for practicing strumming patterns and picking?
Also, is it a bad habit if I have my pinky of my strumming hand on the pick guard while picking?
And finally,,
Well my brother totally forgets everything about his bass except for that it is an OLP and is completely stock. Can you guys identify this for me and tell me what its estimated value is. I can't seem to find anything about OLP.

Welcome Danny! Check out Robert's tutorials at http://www.dolphinstreet.com/

Blink 182 tabs are all over the net, just google it I'm sure you will find something. Bear in mind that most of the tabs will be wrong in some places, so depend on your ear, is the best instrument you have.

Welcome Danny.

As Spud noted in your other thread, the bass is an OLP Music Man Stingray copy. They were not very expensive, and aren't being made any more. A quick glance at ebay shows them going in the $200-$300 range, which is about what they were new.

Welcome, Danny! Great place to be for great info for relative newbs! Alot of helpful folks on here.

I dig Blink 182 and Green Day. Green Day has a new CD (is it out yet?). I thought American Idiot was a darn good disc! My oldest son turned me on to Blink 182. Both of these bands are some of the best in today's music.
