My son and I went to pick up his new dog (about 190 miles round trip). So Layla is getting acquainted with Lilo and Felix. She seems like a good dog except we have to keep her focused on chewing toys and so far she is doing ok.

The wife and daughter don't know yet, but what they actually purchased was chew toys for Layla.

CB and I have each sacrificed one pair of shoes to the chewing demon. We now put our new shoes up on the night stand before we go to bed.

:) she's adorable, Strummy.

your son has a world of laughter coming for him, as well as frustrations.

i just spent an hour chasing mags around the back yard with her latest toy. she ate half a loaf of bread i put out for the birds and suddenly has the energy of a two year old child. :thwap:

Two days and no accidents. We take her out and she does her business.

What's amazing is she was in an outdoor facility that the breeder operated. Well kept, but never in the house. She has adapted very well, but difficult to get back in the house once we let her out.

Already ahead of you on that, but even Layla doesn't like Crocs.

Layla is growing fast and has gone from the smallest dog in the house and just earlier this week became the biggest. She's about 12 weeks old, so there is a lot of growing ahead.

In late May

if i put my dogs in the drivers seat, one would attack the wheel, the other would stick his head out the window then fall out.

Jack russels and Cavalier king charles spaniels FTW :rotflmao:

not good for much except theyre good at doing amusing things.

I had a Husky once - good dog but he wanted to hump everything.

His name was Mott. Named after Mott the Hoople.

Was it pure bred? I know are Huskys don't try to mate with anything inanimate. But all they want to do is run.

Yep, pure bred. I ended up giving it to a friend because I was taking off to California.

my mums friend has a couple of husky pups, she cant walk them anymore because they pull on her arms too much and are beginning to cause shoulder damage :rotflmao:

and also, if you have dark coloured carpets...before you get huskies make sure you get a carpet that masks doghair, urine stains etcetc. well =]
