Anyone know of string sets that use HEAVY top strings and LIGHT bottoms?? I prefer some heft on my top strings because I play a good deal of slide and I don't really need CABLES on the bottom strings. :D I also fret too and while a HEAVY top is a challenge, I don't really use a lot of extreme bending.

Buy a few sets or buy individual strings out of the box at the music store and mix and match. Once you find the gauges that work for you buy bulk. This link was picked at random from quite a few bulk string suppliers.

Ernie Ball makes a heavy top, light bottom set.......10-52. I played them regularly for a while.
