No video yet (hopefully coming soon) but in my band The Lemons our drummer does all the lead vocals. www.myspace.com/thelemons09

No idea how he manages it - serious co-ordination required. There's certain drum fills etc. that he can't do because he needs to be turned towards the mic. He's thinking of getting a headset Mic but the good ones are very expensive.

It definitly turns a few heads when were giging, especially in crowded pubs where people can't see where the vocals are coming from.

YouTube seems to be having technical difficulties right now so I can't see what everyone else posted at the moment, but if nobody said The Band yet, I just did. With them, the "main singer" switched on a song by song basis between Richard, Rick and Levon so Levon was the "main singer" on many many great songs.

If YouTube decides to cooperate any time soon, I can see if anybody else already thought of them.:whatever:

EDIT: Ok, Rocket already did. Good call Rocket!:bravo:

Here's an oldie--Pete Rivera of Rare Earth. I always liked this guy's voice:

Not the lead singer for the band, but one of my favorite songs from Queen.

Good call on that one WackyT. Shame on me for not thinking of it earlier! Here's a more obscure one: Dokken's Tooth and Nail live and acoustic, with vocals by "Wild" Mick Brown:

I can't find a video right now to post, but Phist rotates the singing of their songs. All four members sing, so there are some songs where the lead singing is done by drummer Jon Fishman. For some of them (mostly Syd Barrett covers) he comes out front and Trey gets behind the drums, but for several Fishman sings while drumming.

Actor... not drummer. Sitting behind drums does not a drummer make.

Gotta love Genesis, but in general, its always awkward when the drummer is the lead singer. Background vocals works better in my opinion.

I just think the singer is called the front man for a reason :D

...Don Brewer w/Grand Funk Railroad!
Of course, '69/early 70s, back when they were still hungry and rocking hard.
