Cool, I love sunbursts and don't have one yet. If my Hagstrom was not red, it was going to be tobacco sunburst (I hate that color name but love the color). I look forward to seeing some beautiful guitars here.

Nice guitars, but nothing to contribute. I did go to a music store at lunch today (found one less than 10 minutes from work) and they had a ES335 that would fit nice in this thread, but $$$$$ ($3500). It was a true US Gibson made in Nashville.

Is this a burst? Does it qualify?
http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w149/srspud/Guitars/SZ.jpg

I know this one does because it was called a Silverburst when it was being marketed.

I forgot about this one. I still have mine but no photo.

I had a pawnshop chance at one of those freaky faceplate-input Strats back in the '90's and probably shoulda snapped it up. Sigh. Another missed opportunity.

I love it. It sounds and plays much better than my 1991 American Standard Strat. The best $400 guitar I've purchased (yet).

Spud...the Casino is an '05 Peerless (Korean). A lucky catch.

SVL... The Rick? 27 years young, Rick's 1st attempt to market a reissue of the Harrison model that wasn't quite true to vintage specs (the tailpiece a glaring mismatch and Autumnglo was an option I chose vs. the true redder 'Fireglo' of Harrison's, but it's priceless. With the Hofner bass and Casino, I've got my poor-man's 'Beatles' lineup (sort of...not really authentic) The M6SW is a top notch mando, Korean build: solid carved maple back & sides, solid AAA carved spruce top. It rings.

Believe it or not this is a 'burst (albeit a "have to look so hard it may as well not be" black/dark brown burst). It's impossible to photograph the colour gradation.

I have an old '66 Super Reverb that has been cut into 2 cabs, that looks a little similar (only waaaaaaaaaaay more beat up).

That's the Fender Prosonic 30W ClassA with 2x10 Celestions.
A great amp with a massive highgain-channel. I had the two Twins before (last pic above) and tested a mates Deluxe Reverb RI - the Prosonic is my favourite Fender so far.
The cabinet is made by a local builder (www.tube-town.de) with a flexible back and loaded with one G12H anniversary and one greenback

Cool, so you play it as a 2x10 w/a 2x12 extension cab?

I've done that with my Super. I play the top half (it has some very old Sunn speakers in it, not original Fender) with a DIY openback cab (made out of a gutted Crate combo amp) w/2 Celestion silverbacks in it on the bottom. The combination of 10's and 12's is cool.

RXT, is that the original finish or a refin? It's unusual to see a CSB on an SG.

Definitely original.
In fact the only thing not original are the frets. I refretted it about three or four years ago and put in huge bass frets. Big frets are like having cruise control. They make it easy to play and, although I can't PROVE it, I KNOW it improves sustain and tone by adding mass to the neck.

http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/guitartech92/100_0224.jpg

I'll go take a picture of the fret work and add it...gimme a second...

Hm, right at the moment there's not much more left but two old solid state amps:messedup: :D, the marshall and the guitars.

Hey Mark, can you tell me something about this guitar? I've seen nearly the same one some time ago in a shop.

It's a 1994 Special Edition. The '93, '94 and '95 SE strats were made for Fender Europe as limited runs. They were mostly just US standards with different finishes and a "special edition" neck plate. The '94 was alternatively available as a blonde with a tortoise guard. They ran to a few hundred pieces per edition but because they weren't available in the USA (I'm guessing) they don't even appear in most strat guides.
I think the black Roadhouse start has a similar colour scheme to mine.

It's interesting to notice that the Strat has alnico pickups versus the less expensive ceramics that usually come in budget guitars.

Yeah, it didn't come with those. Those are the GFS Texas Stagger Premiums. Not that the original pickups sounded horrible, but Strats should always have Alnico pickups for the single-coils. Always. For whatever my humble opinion may be worth, anyway. :whatever:

Maybe because at $129, that would be somewhat of a crime for that SX to have Alnico pickups?:D

Bought it directly from him but not face to face. This one is a PCB amp but I have talked to Bruce Zinky (former Fender amp CS designer) about it, he told me the full story and that it's a little "different". This one has a Prosonic combo chassis but runs the full power section from the Tonemaster. The combos had verb the heads did not + the combos were voiced slightly differently from the heads. It's the only Prosonic head built with verb and the only 120 watt Prosonic ever built + a little of that Zinky magic as Bruce himself built this one:AOK: .
