sweep picking?

can anyone here sweep? if so, how did you learn to do it? any tips? not that id use it much, but i just wanna learn it to become a better all round musician, and so i can show off till my hands drop off :rotflmao: :whatever:

If you go to Premier Guitar's site, they've had a series on sweep picking (http://www.premierguitar.com/Magazine/Issue/2009/Jul/Sweep_Picking_301.aspx). That link takes you to the most recent article. At the bottom are links for the previous articles on it. The technique is not difficult per se, it's just a matter of getting both hands in perfect sync with each other. Start with two- or three-string arpeggios and go from there.
