I had heard about Verheyen before, but actually not heard him play very often. So I got this album after Lev mentioned it.

It's good! Very inspirational, and Verheyen is a ripping dude on the guitar. He can play fast and clean with some monster chops, as well as play slow and tasty.

He seems to cover rockier and jazzier styles equally well.

With Scott Henderson, Joe Bonamassa, Steve Morse, Rick Vito, Robben Ford, Albert Lee, Jim Cox as guest artist, there is a lot of great playing to listen to on this album! Recommended buy for sure.

yeah, you should really search out some of his vids on youtube (I've posted a few here before) - he really is a complete player in terms of his ability to draw from any style (blues, jazz, country, rock).

Definitely one of my favourite players, I usually watch a couple of his youtube vids when I need some inspiration.

one of my personal favorites here:

Looks like Carl also has a new instructional DVD out. Might be worth checking out...

That would likely be a terrific instructional video!

That instrumental of the Kinks tune was amazing. How cool is that!!

I've seen this guy GP magazine ads, but never heard him play. He's great. I love this style of playing.
