If you mean like a Vox amp then the Tech21 Liverpool is a great pedal for those kinds of tones. If you mean a treble booster then it probably is not.

Swede, if you're talking about a treble boost pedal as opposed to an AC30 simulation, then I'd point you toward one of the many variations on the vintage Dallas Rangemaster. This germanium transistor based boost circuit dates back to the late 60's and was typically used to brighten those rather dark sounding British amps of the day. There are TONS of Rangemaster-derived boost pedals out there, many of them very good, from what I've read. What horrifies me about most of them is how unjustifiably expensive they are. This is a VERY simple circuit, and $200 for one of these puppies is W-A-A-A-Y-Y out of line, IMO.

Here's a couple opf links to check out:

I assume you're probably looking for something you can buy in your neck of the woods, but I couldn't let this question go by without mentioning the excellent BYOC TriBoost (http://www.buildyourownclone.com/triboost.html), a boost pedal with three switch-selectable boost circuits in one enclosure. In addition to a Rangemaster-type germanium boost, the pedal also includes a linear-response silicon transistor boost based on the old EH Linear Power Booster, and a MOSFET boost circuit that's great for very clean tones and a bright & sparkly top end. Also, the germanium circuit has a 3-way switch for treble, mid-range, or full frequency range boosting. Very cool & unique boost pedal! There might even be somebody around here who could build one for ya.... ;) :D

You know how to make a swede drool DVM!!! I love all things mosfet, and a treble booster is just what I need... I´ll let you know if I want some names of pedal builders that you can recommend ;-)

Super Swede,

Have DVM build you a BYOC Tri-Boost. It not only has a germanium treble boost setting, but a linear boost and mosfet boost as well. The germanium boost has a bass, mid, and treble boost functions. Very versatile and will still probably cost less than any of the boutique treble boost only pedals. I love mine.
