A friend is letting me borrow a '72 Gibson SG Special.

All original. mini humbuckers.

Sweet.

I think he might want me to buy it. You see he has this classic truck that he is restoring...

I have owned a 1968 SG Special since 1969 and when I first saw the 72 I thought is was doctored. I had never seen one with the minis and the bridge like that. It is apparently stock though. Mine is in the deep wine red with p90s and the vibrolo. Baseball bat neck but it hasn't moved in over 40 years.
The lowest action of any guitar I own.

Real or not, that is one fine looking axe! Hopefully, you'll be able to cut a deal on it. Good luck Moshe!

What kind of friend would you be by not buying it and not supporting this truck restoration? :)
