I remembered this band suddenly...our lead guitarist in the 90's dug this immensely...so I looked it up and damn, they have some great tunes & the guitarist, Jason Bieler, can really rip it up and has pretty damn sweet sounds too. And has his own style, usually letting out these super-fast-super clear runs now and then, while keeping it rather melodic most of the time. Suits my tastes damn well. Plus the band seems to have delightful variation in their history, ranging from almost beatlesque pop to almost presidents of the USA type quirky tunes to hard metal/heavy and of course grunge. Great double vox all around etc.
I've understood the band is best known for this cheezy ballad, and all the songs I can find on Youtube are cheezy ballads, but it's much more...I know them as one of the heaviest grunge bands. Like this song:
