View Full Version : Allman Brothers/Widespread Panic

I saw the Allmans and Widespread last night at Bethel Woods. It was a great show with three outstanding guitarists and enough eye candy to please any gear head. Every one knows about Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks but Jimmy Herring is a monster. Check him out if you haven't heard of him yet.

I have seen Govt. Mule/W.H. ,D.T. and The Allmans seperately and together!!!

I even got pics from the photographer,professional first prints not copied,(from the last time I saw A.B.B.) but knowing you were there last night and I wasnt ...........well ya know:poke:

Have not seen J.H. and or W.P but will check him/them out if I get a chance!!!

Very cool, hubber! It goes w/o saying for The Allmans, but Widespread Panic is SO underappreciated, IMHO. Since their original guitarist died, this "new" picker is extremely excellent! I know they have a large cult following (me included), but they should be right up there as icons for the masses. Their "Smells Like Mississippi" is a stone classic! As is the entire "Ball" CD!

Man, I'd love to see The Allmans and Widespread Panic in one show! Most excellent! :beer:
