Just moved one son into the Blackstar 5.

His former practice Squire Amp fades out after a short spell, both inputs.
I know it's a cheapie but,,, is it a simple fix, or should I toss it?

I'd rather fix it and donate it, then trash it.

Thanks.
Whoops, I posted this is the wrong section.

Sound like the power supply is getting weak.

Your problem could be a lot of things without having a schematic to go by hard to point you in any one direction. You should see if Fender/Squire will send you a schematic for the amp. From what I see on the web so far it is a solid state amp I guess. Your problem could be just a tarnished connection, bad pot, poor solder joint, a coupling cap that has gone bad take your pick.
Even with out a schematic won’t hurt to open it up have a look inside clean out the dust and cobwebs and look for anything obvious. I would clean the pots I would suggest a standard hardware store product for this that was made to keep rockets from rusting during the red menace but that could cause others to object.
Anyway it is always interesting to see how something is made so get out you Phillips screwdriver and have at it. Plus it would be nice to keep it around for the next guitarist in the blood line.

I did find this schematic would this be it?
