I've been thinking about getting an Agile. Anyone have any input on which one is closest to sound and feel in regaurds to my '90 Gibson Standard?

Call Rondo. Their Customer Service is suppose to be excellent.

I have one of the SX custom Hollowbody that is very nice similar to the 335. I haven't had any problems from it.

I'd advise you to go for the 3000 or higher model Agile if that is the make you have in mind. The 2000/2500 isn't half as nice as the Xaviere XV-500/510 LP knockoff, both in terms of materials, and pups/electronics. I think the XV has a much nicer neck than either Agile model as well.

The Xaviere is actually comparable if not better than the Agile 3000 at half the price. The GFS pups in the XV are much better than either of the Agiles IMO.

Cosmetically, both makes are nicely finished and better than their price tag would indicate by a mile.

I have all three models, and have done a side by side assessment with those resultant findings. I'll probably sell my AL-2000, and keep my AL-3000 as a backup for my XV-510.

I've had both XV and Agile and the Agile blows the Xavierre away. Anything
over the Agile AL-2500 will be very, very close to what you are looking for.
As for the fit and finish....they cannot be beat. And they sound amazing.
My AL-3100M is just fantastic. I sold the Xavierre...

Want to buy my Agile then?;) Good thing there are so many choices, as there are obviously just as many varied opinions to go with them.

I'm struggling to keep from pulling the trig for either www.rondomusic.com/AL29002TS.html or www.rondomusic.com/ad201.html
Lot's of cool stuff on the Rondo site at present.

I have a 2500 with P90s and it's a great guitar. The neck is substantial meaning it's somewhat thick. But the action is low and the construction and finish are first rate. It's also one of the original models with a different headstock design than the current models.

Wow! Those are sharp...and cheap.
I'll be honest, I know absolutely nothing about Agile stuff.
Are they playable and set up correctly out of the box?
Frets good?
Action good?
These are buy direct?

The reviews at www.harmony-central.com usually favor any Rondo Music product, and they really like the upper scale instruments. The two I linked to are dream set ups for me. The guy at Rondo, Kurt, is good at returns, etc.
