Been a long time. 39 years ago today, he died. Thanks for all the inspiration you continue to give guitar players around the world.

I've always loved Machine Gun.
Of the many great guitarists that have influenced me, there are none that come close to Jimi. While I don't listen to his popular hits anymore, I can't get enough of his blues. He was getting even more into blues before he died, which makes us wonder what treats we'd have to listen to if he was around just a few more years.

Such a beautiful gift. He played from the soul.
