Hi everyone...

So I've decided to make myself a cigar box guitar. Can anyone recommend someone who sells good, reasonably priced, kit form 4 string cigar box guitars?

thanks

Ryan

dude.....have never even heard of a kit being available...but a couple years back me and the Mrs went to Memphis to see Tesla and outside the New Daisy where they played....was this cat in bib over-alls and no shoes....he had a peavey bandit 112 amp and 3 of these cigar box electric guitars that he was playing slide on....the only song I remember was something about....."I've got the dog in me" great classic blues vibe and that cigar box guitar kept me occupied for at least an hour while we standing in line for the place to open.

I found this on Swart's site back when I was researching my purchase of a Swart Amp. A 6-string Cigar Box by Daddy Mojo. If you go to the linked page, click on the pic and select any of five short demos thru a Swart AST:

These cigar box gits are the real deal for down n dirty swamp blues.

Yeah I love the sound so much - hits me right in the soul bone. I want to get more into playing slide and think there's no better way.

Watched your clips... I was just in memphis about a month ago - back in Australia now. Wish I had of seen something like that there.
And everyone has a website these days. What did we do before the internet?? My uncle has been playing 40 years and is amazed by the information we have access about our equipment these days, saying they just had to figure it out themselves way back when. No posting threads on the net!

With that free healthcare you might get materials for this build easier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMKc-qJws9Q&NR=1 Sumi:D
