Steve and Steve (the spudheads) got together for a big adventure on Wednesday September 23. We successfully attacked Mount Borah, the highest point in Idaho).

It was kind of a spur of the moment thing. Spudman wanted to do it for the last two weeks but Sunvalleylaw wasn't sure when he could take a day off. Well, the weather got perfect and the time off came up and we decided the night before that we'll just go do it on Wednesday.

The big story behind the story is that this is SVL's first mountain climb. There are a couple of sketchy parts that make you really think if this is where you want to be. It's just fingers and toes. He came through with flying colors - which we'll show as we move along this thread.

You rock Spud! It was a challenge for sure. I have done a lot of hiking/backpacking over the years, but mostly alpine/treelevel stuff, and have been on a peak or two, but nothing this high or requiring crossing terrain with the exposure that was present on this trip.

Thats kind of what I thought. I'm sure many of our fretters have never seen places like this much less from the top down. It's a pleasure to share with everyone.

A little summit fencing move. Right after this shot he fell over from exhaustion and we had to leave him for the crows.
