CB wanted to get me a new camera for my birthday. Took me awhile to figure out what I wanted, but I finally settled on a Nikon D3000 digital SLR. I got it on Monday. I've spent the whole week studying the reference manual and playing around with it. I think I might finally know how to use the thing in about six months.:AOK:
Anyway, here's a few fun shots I came up with in the last few days.

Shiner, that is a super camera, I would like to have one. I have an older Nikon that I still use and love the picture quality I get. Nikon is noted for the high details from their lenses.
I did noticed that Kimmie is having a tug of war with puppy", now we know why she chews so much.

Cool. Cameras are fun especially when you aren't blowing a wad on film. Keep taking tons of pictures and playing with the controls and you'll be shooting like a pro in no time.

Rather than buy my daughter an SLR, I'll just ship her to your house.
Who's that hot looking young lady in the pics?;)

Nice, those are good cameras. Although I am happy with my cheap Olympus, but if I bought another DSLR, it would be a Nikon I think. Great cameras!

Thanks for the kind words y'all. I can't get over how versatile this camera is. It's going to take me awhile to figure out all the options.
When I bought my first digital camera, some ten years ago, I bought the largest storage card they had. 64MB which would hold 1-200 pictures depending on the quality. I did the same thing this time, 18 gigs, which holds over 4100 pictures.:thwap:

I was referring to the drunk. I still can't believe you have been able to keep her drunk since the day you proposed to her. Is she on her third liver now?

Amazing cameras.
We noticed them when COSTCO rolled out a pallet full.
In about 45 minutes they sold out.
Nice that film is almost history now and cameras have reached such a quality level.
