I have this pedal but what's the B for? Bass?

What's the diff between the FX69B and the FX69? Sounds like a normal grunge pedal to me.

DOD did that with some effects. AFAIK, it just means that it's a later version of the FX69, not a bass version.

Like Matt said, the b is the revision number. There were a couple DOD pedals that had "c" revisions as well, notably the Phasor and Distortion/Supra Distortion.
