The box itself is £50 and the label that says "Pete Cornish" adds another £385.... ;)

The bottom line is that the worth of a pedal is not dictated by what it costs to make, but rather what people are prepared to pay. Cornish is a famous name and he makes a very limited number of pedals. I guess if he has a waiting list at £435 apiece, you really can't blame him for charging that much. Supply & demand....

P.S. I know where you can get some very high quality handbuilt pedals (http://www.duhvoodooman.com/pedal_inquiry.htm)based upon many of the most popular vintage effects of all time for about a sixth of that price! :D
