I slung this tonight and might at the gig tomorrow too. I have the bridge pickup wired to the #2 tone pot and it can sound pretty dark and fat when the tone is rolled off. Sorry I have to use a stock photo. I haven't taken any shots of mine yet.

This week it's just been the trusty old D10S. For a cheap guitar she still sounds great.:happy

Well, since I'm down to one guitar, the choice is rather obvious :)

I try to rotate through my guitars from time to time but I always return to my Modulus for my six string gigs.

My new psychedelic country gig has me playing this though. Though I don't play it in a traditional fashion.

Is that one of those Fender/Floyd Rose locking trems? How do you like it? I've always been interested in those.

Last night I was alternating between my Taylor 310 and my Martin M-36. Playing only acoustic lately, I try to rotate the five of them pretty much equally. Although the M-36 gets more playing time cause I wanna get her played in asap.

Jerry is awesome. My favorite project of his is "Skip, Hop, and Wobble". One of the best modern instrumental bluegrass albums I've heard.

+1111 THis is one of my top 10 favorite albums - make that top 5. I listen to it regularly - amazing musicianship and music. I really love Russ Barenberg on guitar also.

No rose It is a fender with the name engraved on plate from top of the line mid ninties Limited USA.........Neck and roller nut off of the same strat matched with a top 1 or 2 year old Usa Candy tangerine body noiseless pups custom rsguitarworks pots etc.. etc...........

The bridge was hard to find and costly when found it has a pop in arm all metal no plastic tip..........this took awhile to get all parts and then wire it up and in reality more costly.....then to find the strat as a whole but of course it wouldnt be in this color...........:what

Well, I didn't play anything Friday night.

Saturday mornin' I wents down to the church house with these:

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3290/3141374077_74b1b0f4a0.jpg

However, it turned out I didn't play them. By coincidence all 3 of the songs we practiced for Sunday were relatively easy, so I decided to push my limits a bit and play all the songs on this instead:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v26/BrianKrashpad/mandocroppedezcontrast.jpg

That was the first Sunday so far where I could actually play all the songs on mandolin. Just chording along mind you, nothing fancy. The rest of the praise band kidded that they wanted to make up official praise band shirts with my face on them and the legend "MORE MANDO!" underneath, haha.

I also mentioned to our band leader that I have a banjo, so at some point I'll probably play some banjo in church too, even though my banjo knowledge at this point is a lot less than my mandolin knowledge.

Nothing like learning an instrument live in front of 200-300 people every Sunday!

;)
