Found this today while trying to research a 1985 Martin D-35 I might purchase.
For acoustic guitar fans, or fans of the guitar in general (since 1833), this LONG page is chocked-full of info re Martin Guitars, from the very beginning. Extremely thorough, including serial # info, dating, body sizes, styles, and shapes, info on bracing, perfling, nuts, saddles, bridges...woods used - all by dated periods of time ( from *year* to *year*). Also includes much more: reasons for changing scale lengths, bracing, woods...on and on.
Fascinating, and about as much as you're gonna find about Martin guitars year-by-year in one place w/o buying a book (or books).
Here ya go:

Enjoy,
