I'm looking for a good battery powered amp to gig outdoors with an xlr in. Anyone have any input in this area?

The VOX DA5 and Roland Microcube are both highly regarded battery powered amps. The Microcube runs around $125 and the DA5 about $139.

When you say to gig outdoors with, I wonder. All the ones I saw were a bit small for true gig work. Might work fine for solo playing, using a looper, etc., but won't be as loud or full as a full electric amph. I don't own the ones PBP mentions, but A/B'ed them one day as I was considering one, and decided that I personally liked the Vox DA5 better than the Cube, but that is just me. I think you can get a Vox DA10 also with two small speakers rather than one. Happy shopping!

All the bigger Vox DA amps only give 5 watts on batteries, check the specs. Neither of the amps mentioned have an XLR input.
