They are 2 different beasts. It would be like comparing apples to oranges. There is no amph modeling in the M13 but there is a lot more effects available in the M13 and a pitch glide that sounds better and is less glitchy than the Digitech.

Do you have either?

No. After reading all the posts here and at TGP I settled upon the Line-6 M13, but then saw this and thought I'd ask what people thought. I understand that the RP1000 has amp models but I wasn't sure how its effects stacked up against the M13.

I'm plotting my Christmas gift so thought I ask about the RP1000. :)

I'll bet in the next upgrade to the M13 we'll get an acoustic modeler. That is one thing missing from the M13 that the RP has.

The "Holiday" issue of Guitar Player reviews 5 multi-FX pedalboards, including the RP1000. It might be worth checking out. They reviewed the M9 instead of the M13 since it had been previously featured.
