I saw them once at a church here. Didn't really come through live, but could be I just wasn't paying attention.

I really like the Flaming Lips, but I know mostly Soft Bulletin and later.

I`ve been listening to their last album a lot this week , there was a BBC4 documentry a while back with Mark Everett discussing his dad`s theories on quantum physics, really well presented and an interesting guy .

Yes! At the show I went to, they showed this entire quasi-documentary of E going around tracing the steps of his dad and trying to understand his theories. That was a pretty neat experience.
