View Full Version : Any One Recognize this Luthier?

this guitar is made from African Mahogany and Ebony with a carved Maple top. The inlay is made from Mother of Pearl and Blue Abalone. All the electronics are 100% American and it's fitted out with Gibson Humbucking pickups. A 490 in the neck position and a 498 in the bridge. I have a set of Top of the Line Gotoh tuners on her too.

It looks like the work of one of the Chinese luthiers who sell their stuff on Ebay.

yea i know it looks like that but i checked it up at the local music store and they said they highly doubt it was made in china due to how well it was made. most of the guitars that come from china are complete crap

the pictures make the guitar look fake but trust me this was hand done

That looks like the guy that sells on Ebay as the 'inlayartist" or something like that. Cool stuff.

I actually wasn't knocking it. My friend has purchased one of the guitars from the dude on Ebay and it's not actually too bad. He had some work done on the frets and the electronics and it's a perfectly playable guitar now.
