Hello,

I came across this picture in Guitar Players current holiday 09 edition with members of Kiss on the cover. There is an odd body Gibson LP on page 21. It caught my attention because of the sharp cutaway horn and the Gibson name on the headstock. But now I see it must be a different name. This a pic of Mastadon's Brent Hines. I just now noticed the name Gibson appears to have a (g) on the end instead of a (n). Clever :thwap

Wow OG:thwap I never would a thunk it, a Gibson LP with a sharp cutaway. Now what about the other guitar makers that were trying to not infringe on Gibson's copyrighted LP body style and made sharp cutaways instead of rounded. Maybe Gibson will be in trouble now. :what Sweet looking git none the less very nice indeed!

Yeah, that was my favorite of the Gibson GOTM series. No reverse Flying Vs for me.

It is sweet!! I am seeing them around more now. I think I saw Peter Frampton with one on a utube the other day.

I was going to mention that all Gibsons have that elongated tail on the G and the N at the end.

ZMAN,

I was thrown off by the overall look of the guitar, mainly with the sharp cutaway. I thought someone was trying to be clever with the headstock name and make it close to Gibson. It has been done a few times. :D
