Hey Fellas,

A good friend of mine showed this to me and I thought it would be a shame not to pass it along to the good people on "The Fret".

Its a movement called "Playing for Change" where several amateur filmmakers travel around the globe to record a whole bunch of different musicians playing the same song then mixing each of their versions together to make one song.

The four links below are IMO are more than worth watching. It's really cool to see stuff like this and it makes you realize the power of music and how it's the one language that we all share.

I hope you all enjoy it as much as I have. :AOK

Thanks...that was truly great...just plain awesome.

One of those little things that makes you just want to say, peace, man...maybe there's still some hope for humanity.

Cool Idea I agree. Here's another global music project I enjoyed earlier in the year. I caught the doco on TV here one night. Essentially it's two British guys travelling the world with some beats and ideas for songs and they use local talent to flesh it out until they have a whole album out of it. Really cool to watch, for example, Tibetan monks listen to African drumming in the headphones and jam along with it.
