View Full Version : Cello Cases?

So for Christmas, my brother-in-law has asked for a hard cello case -- right now he just has a 'gig bag,' provided that term applies to classical stringed instruments.

Does anyone have any input on where to shop for these, other than MF? Even at MF, any input on what to look for vs. what to avoid?

I don't even know where to start with this, so I'm crossing my fingers that someone started in orchestra before they transitioned to 'band.' ;)

They're not cheap, but check out this page ( http://www.wwbw.com/Search/Default.aspx?internal=1&src=cello%20case) at Woodwind and Brasswind. I've bought from them before, good company to deal with.

Shar Music has been around a long time and is one of the online superstores for violin family instruments and accessories.

Our daughter plays the cello. If I were in the states I would probably go to Shar. As it is, I just go to China and buy direct...:AOK
