Here's a short one, all I had time for this week. It's played in Bb flat.

Cool Daddy-O! I admire Brian's work a lot, but have really had no idea how to start learning that type of stuff. Looks like a good start, and gives me huge appreciation for all he puts in his playing. Thanks!

Thanks Robert. I got that one down quickly. I actually don't use my pinky on this and am quite comfortable that way. Cool lick. It combines two different licks that I use often. This is neat that they got put together this way. It makes it a whole different thing.

I love that lick! Excellent lesson.
I've been wanting to learn some rockabilly/swing stuff lately. Setzer and the Stray Cats got me into it back in the early 80's, and I get a kick out of the sound.

Anyone who likes this style should check out Brian's "Ignition!" album, expecially the "Rooster Rock" song.
Here's the clostest thing I could find on youtube:
(not nearly as good as Setzer's, but still cool)

2 years ago at their show I got to play several sweet Gretsches in the lobby. They had a rep there demo'ing some beautiful guitars. I'd love to own a Brian Setzer model someday!
