Here's our band doing The Weight at a local club. Lots of audience singing, can't hear it cause we didn't have audience mics,

I really like that Robbie Robinson'esque lead and the keyboard sounds like Garth Hudsons big old Hammond B3 with Leslie or whatever it was.
What keyboard is that anyway?
Great song and fabulous rendition, very authentic sounding.

Sorry for the late response. Dave uses a Hammond, not sure of the model #. He credits a lot of his sound to this monster Lesley -- the old kind, but a new model. It has three internal mics, so sounds awesome under its own power or when running direct.

I get a craving for beer listening to that clip.. The audience surely had a fantastic evening :)

Yep, they were howling and happy that night. I wish we'd mic'd the audience but we ran out of mics. It's enough that the owners want us back and folks said they'd pay a return visit. Thanks for listening, Swede.

Yeah, Dave's gear is rock heavy. That Lesley could be a 2-person carry, but he typically does it himself. It sounds great, though.

Really nice, helliott. That Hammond does fill a lot of space, but the whole band sounds great also. :applause :applause

Thanks, Frank, OG and Street Music. Much appreciated. We're pretty happy with our progress, though we have a long way to go. Another gig coming Jan. 9, so we're prepping for that. Our take on Black Magic Woman (posted earlier in this forum) got lots of good feedback, actually led to one agent seeking us out and offering another booking at a classic rock club. So far, so good.
