Hi all, just found the forum recently and have already learned a lot from the various threads here. I'm looking forward to downloading many of the BTs. My name is Andy, in my 50s and love all kinds of music, though I mostly play country and classic rock, with a little blues thrown in now and then. I have a Harmony Sovereign(factory second) which I bought from a pawn shop in '72. The last 6 or 7 years I got a little more serious about the music and I've been infected with GAS, so I picked up a Taylor 310, and now have some electrics as well: a Charvel/Jackson CSM-1G, a Tradition MTP-250, a modded Squier 51 and a Korean DeArmond M-75. Amps include a late 80s Fender Sidekick Chorus 20, a Peavey Classic 20, and a '67 (I think) Earth Sound Research G-2000 Super Guitar head into an Avatar G212H cab. Cheers!

Welcome aboard, Andy!

At 59, I'm still barely holdin' on to my 50s, or, as Jerry Lee Lewis might say: "I'm 59 and holdin'...holdin' everything I can".

We have at least one other Kentuckian amongst us that I know of.

One of my best friends and member of the last gigging band I was in in the early 80s had a Harmony for many years. That was one sweet ol' guitar, and it broke his heart (and mine) when it was stolen...

Welcome to The Fret, Andy! It's good to have you here, and I like your variety of gear.
I'm considering an Avatar 2x12 cab down the road to help with my GAS pains.

Welcome, Andy! A friend of mine once let me borrow his Taylor 310. I loved that guitar. Sounds like you have some good stuff in your current arsenal.

From one hack to another, welcome Andy!

Another DeArmond owner I see. Those are great guitars, I've owned several over the years, including an M-75. Mmm, Goldtone-y...

Tell me more about that Charvel. I don't think I've ever seen one like that.

Nice! I love your little Peavey Classic, and also love the covering on that Earth Sound Research amph. Looks like a bar you would lean up on in a 50's era space theme bar. Way cool!

Thanks, marnold. I got it along with the sidekick in a trade. It's HSH with a trem, although I don't have a bar for it. Late '80s model and Jackson pickups. Pretty nice little rocker. Fast neck and fretboard. I haven't found much info on it, although there are a couple of reviews at HC.

Thanks, it is cool in a kitschy kind of way. I've always been a sucker for tuck and roll, whether in a hot rod or on an amp. I'd like to find a matching cab for it.
