Hey guys, I'm wondering what compressor you use (If you use one) and what you like/dislike about it. Thanks for any input.

Check out the Artec "Soloists" it fills soooOOoo many positions in your pedalboard that it will shrink
the size by half. It and the BBE Sonic Stomp are absolute best pedals I've ever used!

Well, Santa is bringing me a BBE Orange Squash for Christmas. I found a good deal on one and passed it along to "Santa".

I'll let you know how I like it.

Edit to add: Here's the link to the deal. At $45.11 it's the lowest price available right now.

I use a DuhVoodooMan Tight Squeeze. I highly recommend it if you feel you are worthy speaking with a builder of such high esteem.:french

Thanks for the plug, Hub! :AOK

And the BYOC kit I use was recently revised to a more space-efficient layout with the jacks at the top. Same great circuit and features, though. PM me for a price quote, if interested....

I have the Atom Smasher compressor, which is Mark Humphrey's mod of a Boss CS-3. It's pretty good!

Strange world, isn't it? Let us know how you like that Atom Smasher.

Glad you're enjoying that chorus pedal. It has some good sounds in it, just too big for my pedalboard.

What kind of settings are you using? What's your rig? Would love to hear how others are using it.

It's truly an underrated compressor. So are Mark's mods.

Well I must say I have no experience of the 'better' class pedal comps like the Barber etc. but when I was looking for one I played a lot of different, can't even remember all cheaper pedal comps from Boss, MXR, DOD, etc and I found that they all are basically gadgets that only squeeze, i.e. can't be used to boost the sound really.

Of the cheaper ones I got the Marshall ED-1 because it was a.) able to really boost the signal not just squeeze, i.e. it can be used to change a softer crunchy sound to ACDC roar and b.) it has a tone range knob that allows you to compress either the low or high end and leave the attack of the other intact.

So that one is definitely worth checking out.

This works well for me:
Level: 10:00
Tone: 1:00
Attack: 3:00
Sustain: 1:00
It also smooths out the OD on my Dyna Drive.
