For those on the fence about lessons

By all means, just do it!

I've been playing for 36 years, and I've recently gone to lessons. I see a major path of improvement ahead of me now. I'm having fun!

I am kinda in the same boat, and recently started studying theory, and music.

Back in the day there were no lessons to be had. No one had the money to send you to study guitar. But I totally loved the guitar, and played it day and night, and beame a pretty good player(IMOHA).

I just got tired of being a good player, and a musical dummy.

I have been taking guitar lessons since January it has been a great help. But since I have only been playing for just a year I still suck but it is getting better.

Working on music theory this time around something I never did do as a Bass Player.

Same boat I'm in. My running line when asked if I was a musician was "no, I'm just a guitar player."
