Probably the most unexpected news of last/this year, or any recent year for that matter, has James back in the fold on lead guitar, playing his trusty Les Paul which he serendipitously had completely restored prior to getting the call from Iggy once the band had decided to continue after the tragic death of Ron Ashton, and is now using it again to rock and write w/Iggy.
They've done two 'feel' gigs in Sao Paulo this last Nov., and are readying for a full tour.

I know he's under the radar for most, and some may not even find his music their cup-o-tea, but for my money James is the hottest man on the Rock 'n' Roll scene now. But he does it all nice and quiet, until he plugs in. With him often on world tour and writing new Stooges music as I speak, the new HoF'er is once again forging new roads that may rival his infamous '70s legacy, and seeing footage of his action on stage this year it seems he's smokin' more than ever. He's certainly got his chops back, and then some, after decades of being out of music while becoming a top SONY exec. His continuing story and resumed collaboration with Iggy is really exciting to a fan like me, and I see nobody rivaling him. Rock on, James!
